Beautiful, good, and organic!

I must admit ... I have a soft spot for "organic" wines. In fact, it would be better to speak of wines "from organic farming", rather than "organic" wines. In a world where conventional agriculture is important, it is hard to be against those who make the effort of environmentally friendly agriculture.

But it's not necessarily because it's organic, it's good. And that applies to the world of wine too. I've always said that before you can make "organic" wine, you have to be able to make good wine. Because, as in many fields, there are those who abuse the commercial aspect of organic certification. This certification guarantees above all that the vine has been worked without any chemicals. It does not guarantee the quality of the wine itself. But at equal quality, if I hesitate between 2 wines, I naturally lean for the one who turned his back on the harmful products, even pay a little more for my bottle.

Our suggestion

The Negondos vineyard, established since 1993 in Mirabel, was the first to produce in Quebec. If "organic" rhymes with Negondos, owners Carole Desrochers and Mario Plante have the word "quality" tattooed on their heart.

Their attention to detail is reflected in their wines, which are of great finesse. A minimum of intervention, among other things no filtration, making them unique wines.

Negondos Preambulle

Préambulle

A sparkling wine made in the traditional way (2nd fermentation in bottle, as in Champagne!), Based on Seyval. A very very fine bubble, slightly brioche aromas and white flesh fruits. Very well balanced in the mouth, and perfect to open the taste buds.

Negondos Opalinois

Opalinois

A very nice dry white wine from the same grape variety as the sparkling wine, Seyval, and vinified only in stainless steel vats for more fruit and freshness. The perfect companion for summer and seafood, very refreshing!

Negondos StVincent

Saint-Vincent

If you like white wines with a little more material, but not necessarily wooded, you will undoubtedly love St. Vincent, whose particularity lies in a skin maceration, which brings him a great complexity. Exuberant aromas of tropical fruits emerge. It will marry wonderfully with cheeses, sushi, and dishes in sauce.

Negondos Suroit

Suroît

For lovers of light and fruity red wines. Full of small red berries on the nose, the Suroît is above all an easy drinking wine, with soft tannins and a good freshness. Serve it rather cool, around 15 degrees. The meats will be very good with this wine.

Negondos Chesnaie

Chesnaie

Coming from the same blend as the Suroît (Foch, St.Croix, Frontenac, Marquette), it ages for 6 months in oak barrels, which gives it a little more structure. Added spice aromas and toasty notes. Very juicy in the mouth. Take out the barbecue!
